Our Story

Ciera’s story has always been shaped by curiosity and intuition. She grew up in Philadelphia and found her way into the world through travel, symbolism, and a quiet sense of wonder. While studying first at American University, her time in Spain sparked a deep love of exploration that stayed with her. She later transferred to Temple University, finishing her degree there and graduating during lockdown. Even when the world slowed down, Ciera kept moving forward, guided by a belief that life is meant to be felt deeply and lived intentionally.

Tyler’s path looked a little different. Raised in Pennsylvania, he was drawn early to creativity, performance, and storytelling. Theater and film shaped his outgoing, playful spirit and his comfort being fully himself. He has always found joy in imagination and connection, whether through creative work, working with kids, or a lifelong love of Pokémon that reflects his sense of play and curiosity. When Ciera noticed how naturally he connected with children, she encouraged him to step into teaching, a choice that would end up shaping their shared life in a big way.

Their story together began at Temple’s Bell Tower and unfolded quickly into something steady and real. They learned how to stay close across distance when Ciera spent time in Spain during COVID, holding onto each other even when the world felt paused. From there, they chose a life rooted in experience, not routine. Together they have lived and traveled through Mexico, Thailand, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and now Vietnam, building a partnership grounded in love, growth, and choosing one another again and again.

This day is a celebration of the paths that shaped them, the journey they’ve shared, and the life they are continuing to build side by side.
